Accessing Our Services

Funding

You may be eligible for financial support to help you or a loved one get the care and time you deserve – Attendance Allowance, Carer’s Allowance, NHS Continuing Healthcare programs or Direct Payments. We know navigating these things can feel like a full-time job in and of themselves, so to help - we have prepared a guide.

Transport

Best Life Transport exists to help loved ones attend events or preform errands, we know though that this service may not be for everyone – we have put together a guide on transport options and help that may be available. The BDAA (Bristol Dementia Action Alliance) may be able to provide financial support while exploring some of our recommended transport providers within Bristol and the surrounding areas.

“Our regular companion is kind and considerate and very genuinely caring. She has been consistently supportive, including at times when Mum has been ill or hospitalised and visiting Mum when she is on a respite break at a local care home in order to provide continuity.

    Wholeheartedly recommend Best Life.”

  • Hear What others Have To Say...

“We approached Best Life just over a year ago, and have received practical support, advice and kindness ever since - not only for our mother … but for the wider family when we have struggled to understand these changes.”

“I watch my Dad go off to the Club with a spring in his step! He is collected from his front door by a smiling member of staff from Best Life and helped into the community transport. Deciding to give the Club a go for my Dad has proved to be very worthwhile for him and me. He gets companionship and something to look forward to and I get the reassurance that people trained in dementia care are looking after Dad and feeding back to me how he is getting on.”
